Artist Profile

Between Brush and Pixel: Wael Kamel Hamadeh’s Journey into Motion & Digital Art.

In a world rushing toward artificial intelligence and digital expression, Wael Kamel Hamadeh stands at the delicate intersection between the handcrafted and the virtual, between the scent of marine wood and the glow of augmented reality. Though he embraces technology, Wael remains grounded in the textures and stories of the physical world — because for him, art begins not on a screen, but in the earth, the sea, and the soul.

Wael’s process is deeply rooted in touch and memory. He still walks through old shipyards, where rusted tin sheets and marine beams whisper stories of storms, voyages, and forgotten lives. He collects reclaimed wood from abandoned homes, believing that if a material was born in nature or shaped by human hands, it holds a life force — a history waiting to be transformed into timeless art. His fingertips are stained with color, his eyes trained to spot beauty in decay. Every sculpture, every painting he creates is a continuation of that material’s journey — not an object, but a soul reborn.

Yet, Wael is not bound by the past. He recognizes that the future of art pulses with digital motion, interactive space, and AI narration. The artist who once carved cedar and painted with coffee now steps into the realm of augmented reality, video animation, and digital storytelling. His recent experiments include live digital overlays — using AR to project cultural symbolism onto his physical works, offering viewers both the material and the metaphysical layers of a story.

This new direction does not replace his analog brush — it extends it. For Wael, motion is simply another language to speak his truth. The shift into digital is not an escape from nature, but a translation of its movement into light, screen, and code. He remains inspired by solitary moments — a tree bending in wind, a bird circling ruins, a footprint in forgotten sand. These are his raw materials, whether captured by camera, brush, or software.

The “Motion” page of his journey is a challenge and a calling — a space where tradition meets transformation. Wael Kamel Hamadeh continues to merge intuition with innovation, honoring the past as he steps into the future. Whether through a weathered piece of wood or a digital projection, his message is the same: Art is a bridge between time, and the artist is the one who walks it barefoot.
